Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to make a bit of a song and dance on here about a part that Silica is now widely stocking.

The 5630 or STW8Q2PA but I will call it the 5630. Is a 0.3 to 0.5W Surface Mount LED that offers an excellent price per lumen!

Some of you will have seen adverts in the press by Seoul advetising the 5630 and I truely believe that this product is an LED that will change the Lighting Market.

If anyone has any questions, example applications, further info etc... please put it up here.

Thanks,

Ian

In this 0.3W segment, SMLKA6 (PSML1 package) LED from ROHM is also a very good product with equivalent luminous flux and ensures higher dissipation capabilities (810mW).

Ulrich,

I like the look of the Rohm parts and the PSML2 seems to have the same 5630 (5.6mm x 3.0mm) package size as the Seoul part. I haven't seen either the PSML1 or 2 in action yet.... have you had any working samples? And if so, how do they compare to the Seoul 5630?
