LED specific fitting
Hi,
Can you tell me if any one is working on a specific fitting for LED lighting. Something like GU10 or MR16 but which address the cooling issues specific to LED.
Thanks

Hi magicsteve,
Yes I have a few customers developing MR16 fittings in the UK. The GU10 replacement bulb manufacturers are mainly coming out of the Far East.
The MR16 customers tend to be cooling their LED Modules Passively with a large heatsink. But they tend to specify that there is airflow or cooloing in the ceiling that the light is being put in to. I have seen a few customers using Fans, but this usually brings problems with noise and this is seen as something that could cause failures or need repair.

Also if you are looking to design your own MR16 we have an ideal LED Module for this. Its called the AN4224 or Acriche A4 8W Module.....
It's an LED Module that is run straight from Mains 240V. It is available in a Warm White and generates approximately 400lm.
I have attached the datasheet if anyone is interested in the finer details.
