This is the ideal Windows Embedded Standard 7 Version, ideal for Settop Boxes or other consumer device. The pricing is really interesting. Does anyone has already requests for high edn STB's based on Intel Atom and Windows 7?

Indeed WES7 C could be very interesting (pricewise) for a number of customers. Why isn't it listed in the Microsoft pricelist?

How are the restrictions defined? And what are the SAP partnumbers?

we didn't post it, not to confuse Sales and OEMs, as this product is only fro a very limited device category. And we don't want to frustrate OEMs with pricing, tehy will not be able to get as WES7C is not allowed for them. The limits are very restrictive. It can be only a device in teh consumer area, which is bought or leased from an enduser (homeuser). The device need to have a 10 feed expirience, which means you need to be able to control it via remote control. Teh complete restirction can be found on teh embedded communication extranet (ECE), But you need to have a sign CAL to get access to it. Attached you find the document, which explains the rights.
