Xilinx System Generator for DSP: A Practical Guide
Course Description:
Xilinx System Generator for DSP is the industry’s leading tool for designing high-performance DSP systems using FPGAs. This 1-day, hands-on technical session will take you from start to finish of a design using System Generator with Simulink®. You will learn how to quickly implement high performance DSP systems in an FPGA by way of block-level design, leveraging the power of MATLAB®. After completing this course you can begin designing your own system the very next day, sidestepping many of the common mistakes made by new users. Key components include model creation and simulation using Simulink® with highly optimized DSP blocks for Xilinx FPGAs, software and hardware co-simulation, automatic code generation from Simulink® and MATLAB®, and finally integrating a custom System Generator design into a larger HDL-based project using the Xilinx ISE™ implementation tools.
Who Should Attend:
Any Hardware or DSP system designer wanting to implement complex, high performance DSP algorithms in a Xilinx FPGA using intuitive, graphical-based design tools.
Prerequisites:
Basic understanding of fundamental DSP concepts will be helpful, but no prior
experience with MATLAB® or Simulink® is required.
