ML610Q400 - Ultra Low Power 8-Bit MCUs with Embedded Flash
ROHM Semiconductor introduced the ML610Q400 series, high performance CMOS 8-bit microcontrollers developed by OKI Semiconductor. Embedded flash memory operating with 1.1 V voltage, a unique low power technology, a fine-tuned power management, and the highly effective RISC type 8-bit CPU nX-U8/100 as their core make them a highly efficient tool for ultra low power consumption and long lifetime from single battery. With this set-up, they are an optimum solution for a big variety of compact and portable applications such as dry battery powered hand-held type products.
As for the RISC CPU core, an efficient instruction execution of one instruction per one clock is enabled by a 3-stage pipeline architecture. Because the ML610Q400 ICs are equipped with a LCD driver and two kinds of A/D converter, they are ideal for sensor based applications with LCD display such as wristwatches, pedometers, heart rate monitors, and thermostats. Available for operation in extended temperature range (-40°C up to 85°C) they also fit for industrial devices such as data loggers used for the temperature management for food, etc.
