NSI45 Series - Constant Current Regulator & LED Driver
The NSI45 solid state series of two or three terminal linear constant current regulators (CCRs) from ON Semiconductor are simple, economical and robust devices that are ideal for driving current in industrial signage and architectural LED lighting applications. Based on patent-pending self-biased transistor technology, the NSI45 devices are targeted for a broad range of LED applications with varying input voltage.
By regulating the voltage over the wide range, the devices ensure constant brightness over the operating voltage range and provide engineers a simple and cost-effective solution for regulating current in their application without compromising on performance. The series is designed with a negative temperature coefficient to protect LEDs from thermal runaway at extreme voltage and operating temperatures. The devices require no external components and their high anode-cathode voltage rating withstands surges common in automotive, industrial and commercial signage applications. The NSI45 series is available in SOD123, SOT223 and DPAK package and the operating temperature range is -40...85 °C.
