PROFET+ Family - Smart High-Side Switches
The new PROFET™+ Family delivers easy plug and place modularity between single- and dual-channel discrete Smart High-Side Switches.
PROFET™+ contains three single-channel devices with 30, 45 and 90 mΩ RDS(on) and is specifically designed to drive light bulbs and LEDs in the harsh automotive environment. The devices provide state-of-the-art diagnostics and protection features. Their high current sense accuracy enables them to diagnose even the smallest loads such as LEDs. The family's very high short circuit robustness is a benchmark in the market. All family members have an identical feature set – once you know one device, you know them all.
The new single-channel devices in the small DSO8 exposed pad package have the same small footprint as dual-channel family members in the DSO14 exposed pad package (2x20-180 mΩ). This modularity gives engineers maximum design flexibility to change loads and devices without having to make major modifications to board layout.
The complete PROFET™+ family will range from 8...180 mΩ RDS(on).
