ST: STM32 F1/F2/L1
The STM32 family of 32-bit flash microcontrollers is based on the breakthrough ARM Cortex™-M3 core featuring architectural enhancements with the thumb-2 instruction set to deliver improved performance with better code density, significantly faster response to interrupts, all combined with industry-leading power savings. It offers a complete 32-bit product range while maintaining full integration and ease of development.
STM32 Connectivity Line
32-bit microcontroller with USB OTG, Ethernet with IEEE 1588, dual CAN, audio class I²S.
The STM32 connectivity line is intended for applications where connectivity and real-time performances are required: industrial control, control panels for security applications, UPS, home audio. The family includes devices with 64 to 256 Kbytes of on-chip flash memory, up to 64 Kbytes of SRAM, and 14 communication interfaces.

STM32 Motor Control
For 3‑phase brushless motor vector drives.
STMicroelectronics’ STM32 offers the performance of the industry‑standard Cortex™‑M3 core at the service of vector (or field‑oriented) control algorithms. Vector‑control algorithms are widely used in high‑performance drives. They provide precise and responsive torque and speed control, and guarantee optimized efficiency during transient operations. Practically, they also have the advantage of using the same framework to control an asynchronous or synchronous motor. This is interesting for development teams that have to deal with various applications and motor types. Finally, the sensorless algorithms for rotor speed and position detection are also of interest when trying to reduce the cost of the drive.

STM32 Value Line
32-bit microcontrollers for greater choice in cost-sensitive applications.
The STM32 value line complements our STM32 Cortex™-M microcontroller product portfolio by offering a low-cost product line that is pin-to-pin compatible with the STM32 portfolio. It brings new features such as new 16-bit timers and CEC function to expand the range of applications addressed in consumer, appliance and industrial segments.
STM32L EnergyLite
The STM32L MCU family, based on the Cortex-M3 core, extends ST’s ultra-low-power portfolio in performance, features, memory size and package pin count. It combines very high performance and ultra-low power consumption, through the use of an optimized architecture and our proprietary ultra-low leakage process, shared with the STM8L family. The STM32L family offers two different lines (STM32L151 and STM32L152) so optimizing the STM32F and STM8L families for many applications requiring performance with special care on power savings.
