The STM8L EnergyLite™ microcontroller family provides customers with extra flash memory up to 64 KB, plus new and enhanced features. This product family now features enhanced LCD and touch-panel control and enhanced timekeeping. The new STM8L16x line supports industry-standard security encryption and increases support for ultra-low-power application development.

These ultra-low-power product lines support a wide number of applications where consumption is critical, such as in portable devices. ST has introduced its first ultra-low-power family, the STM8L, based on the 8-bit STM8 core. As a result of our proprietary ultra-low leakage process, shared with the STM32L family, the STM8L features ultra-low power consumption with the lowest power mode of 0.35 µA.

This family is declined in three different lines (STM8L101, STM8L151, STM8L152) making the STM8L an optimal family to support many applications with special care on power savings.
