Texas Instruments’ LM4F230 Series of ARM Cortex-M4 microcontrollers with floating point encompasses MCU control applications with advanced motion control timers, USB connectivity, and generous serial communication peripherals.

The motion control capabilities include two quadrature encoder inputs along with advanced timers with 16 PWM outputs, dead band generation, up to 8 fault-condition inputs. USB OTG/Host/Device capabilities are combined with serial peripherals including up to eight UARTs, six I²C, four SSI/SPI, and two CAN controllers. Embedded flash sizes range from 128...256 KB with 32 KB of internal SRAM. All the devices include 2 KB of EEPROM and are offered in several board-friendly packages, including 64-pin LQFP, 100-pin LQFP, and 144-LQFP.

In addition, every LM4F230 Series MCU is supported with the renowned StellarisWare® software, including features preprogrammed in memory-saving ROM.
