TDA7491 - High Efficiency analog Audio Amplifiers

Thanks to the TDA7491 family of amplifiers from STMicroelectronics it is really easy for application designers to get high quality sound. The TDA7491 are dual BTL class-D audio amplifiers with single power supply designed for LCD TVs and monitors.

 

The bottom side of the package has an exposed pad (slug down) that allows to dissipate through the PCB the energy not turned into output power. The efficiency is extremely high and in the range of 90%. Heat sinks are no more necessary. For this reason these TDA7491 amps are extremely suitable for surface mounting on PCBs where room saving is indispensable for the success of the final product. 

 

The TDA7491 come in a very small package - PSSO36 - and are pin to pin compatible with each other and with TDA7492P and TDA7492MV.
