Start developing now with the new MicroBlaze version 7 processor core. The latest version of Xilinx's powerful soft processor core incorporates the latest features to help designers achieve the results that they need for embedded processor FPGA designs. New features include a full-featured Memory Management Unit (MMU) offering virtual addressing and memory protection. The MMU opens the doors to run a variety of operating systems on MicroBlaze systems, including the recently launched LynuxWorks BlueCat linux, based upon the popular version 2.6 of the linux kernel. Other features include support for the newly introduced PLB v4.6 bus architecture, offering high bandwidth data transfers for your application, and a full-featured trace and debug module offering the designer faster development cycles.
